Every wedding attire is a reflection of a culture’s identity. From elegant Western brides in white gowns to an Indian bride in vibrant colored lehenga or saree there is a different kind of beauty element associated with every type of wedding attire worldwide.

Indian Wedding Attire

Indian weddings are known for their vibrant color lehenga, sarees, and heavy jewelry. An Indian bride carries various jewels and attire full of embroidery, usually Indian bride wears a red lehenga but with time there is a very modern play with color and pattern customizations. Whereas the groom wears a vibrant sherwani or dhoti kurta as his wedding attire.

Western Wedding Attire

Symbolizing purity and Innocence a Western bride carries a beautiful white gown on her wedding day and grooms usually go for tuxedos and even sometimes they match their outfit with their bride’s attire. Japanese Wedding Attire

The kimono is the traditional wedding attire in Japan. At the time of the wedding brides usually wear white colored kimonos and later change them with some vibrant and colorful kimono for their reception and the groom wears a black colored formal ki kimono or montsuki.

Jewish Wedding Attire

Jewish weddings are also followed by the bride wearing a white gown and the groom wearing a suit and tuxedos. During their marriage ceremony couples may wear their traditional prayer shawl called tallit or white robe commonly known as kittel.

Nigerian Wedding Attire

Nigerian weddings are full of colors, vibrant patterns, and jewels. Gele is a headscarf worn by a Nigerian bride as a part of wedding attire along with an Iro, a wrapper which nowadays modern brides tend to wear with their lace blouses. Agbada or dashiki with a lot of embroidery and beads are worn by Nigerian grooms. Their attire completely reflects the Heritage of their culture marking their resemblance and identity.
